"Who should I give my love to, my respect and my honour to?"
"Who should I pay good mind to after Allah and Rasoolullah(S.A.W)?"
Comes your mother.
"Who next?" Your mother
"Who next?" Your mother
And then your father.
An example of magnificent strength, a reflection of splendid beauty and the definition of unconditional love itself. A mother.
Now a victim of emotional as well as physical abuse, in many communities. Negligence and disrespect are just amongst the few spoken battles facing the mothers of the 21st centaury. The idea of a mother's home came after mothers of different communities came to Sheik in need of shelter and protection from the disrespectful ways of their children and in some cases older family members.
The project was initiated with the intention of giving company to lonely mothers. Caring for the uncared for ones. Loving those in need of love and giving dignity and respect back to those neglected and in need of shelter.
The Sabera's mother's home is not to be mistaken for an old age home, this is not a home where mothers are left and taken care of at a monthly fee. This is simply another one of the Sultan Bahu Centers community projects that aim to help the community and build the society. Although the actual mother's home isn't open as yet, we do have two mothers being accommodated at the Sabera's Children's Home, and hope to see our doors opening in early 2010.
We can not question as to why things happen because that would be becoming part of the problem, all we can do is put our hands together and help those in need. That way we become part of the solution.
